Eliza Spencer is a Journalist and Copywriter living in Sydney, Australia.
After graduating in 2019 with a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) at the University of Technology in Sydney, she combines previous study of Photography with her experience as a local news journalist to help make space for unheard voices in Australian society.
In her current role as Communications Coordinator for Opportunity International Australia, she brings her passion for justice to print, online and digital content. Including the editing and publication of quarterly magazine Agency, to regular writing and publishing online longform and feature content, Eliza’s work at Opportunity brings a contemporary voice to the established international development and non-profit sector, working to engage younger readers and inspire a new generation of young people passionate to end poverty.
Formerly a contributor for Music Insight throughout 2018, Eliza has written for the UTS Society of Communications The Comma, reporting regularly for City Hub Sydney, and Melbourne based mag The Eye Creative. Currently a regular local news reporter for The Sydney Sentinel, her work has also been featured in Eureka Street.
